Engagement sessions in the city are my love language, let’s be honest. When Jared and Katie wanted to visit some of their favorite date spots in the city, I was thrilled. This windy engagement session in the city was so fun.

Engagement sessions are a beautiful precursor to the main event, creating space for an additional chapter of your story to be captured. I offer complimentary engagement sessions with all of my wedding packages to create that space and also to give us an opportunity to meet in person and give you an opportunity to experience what it’s like to be in front of my camera – so that when your wedding day comes around you’ll be a pro!

Planning your engagement session.

It’s all in the details. To begin the process of planning your engagement session, I always begin with sending you my session guide. This guide breaks down the whole process for you. It has tips on what to wear, how to decide on which location to shoot at, it outlines my approach and process, and it has information on how to download and store your photos after your final gallery has been delivered,

From there, I have an engagement session questionnaire I will send you. This questionnaire is where we really begin to dive into the details of your vision and story.

I also have my clients create and send me a vision board. This, paired with the questionnaire, really allows me to catch a glimpse of my client’s vision and goal for their session.

True to color imagery with a creative flair is my own personal blend of timeless color and an artistic approach. My personality is a genuine mix between OCD tendencies and the need to get messy and dive deep into art. My work reflects that.

Often, you will find a photographer with “light and airy” color, but their photos are stiff and posed. Or you will find a “documentary photographer”, but their photos are dark and grainy. Here at JFP, we blend both together, giving you a mix of beautiful, timeless color and that creative, documentary flair.

Picture this: It’s a brisk, windy, February day in downtown Harrisburg. You arrive with your love to have this season of your life captured. We visit some of your favorite date spots. Your wedding is just around the corner.

Jared and Katie were seriously so fun. Every laugh and smile captured is genuine. From the Pennsylvania Capitol Building, a random little alleyway downtown, to the Little Amps on Green Street, we embraced the wind and chill and had a lovely February afternoon together.
