Michael & Ember — A Pride and Prejudice Inspired Wedding

Wow. Where do I even start with this one? I guess first off, it was straight out of a fairytale. The venue was a dream, every corner filled with character. It truly felt as if you were transported to some grand chateau in Europe.

Michael and Ember flew me to Texas for their wedding weekend. Travel weddings are always a treat because you get to spend so much time with the friends and family. By the time you leave, it feels like you’ve known everyone for forever. This wedding was also extra special because Ember and I worked together a few years back. Getting to see her vision come together after hearing about it for so long was so fun.

Michael and Ember grew up together. Seeing both of their families come together in this way was beautiful. The combradiery between parents and old friends made the weekend truly feel like one big party.

Okay and the pride and Prejudice theme. Don’t get me STARTED. I did some research beforehand – peep some shots that are similar to the famous movie stills. Don’t mind me as I geek out (I’m in my Jane Austen era). Also can we talk about the fact that Ember thrifted almost every detail for this day, including her wedding dress?!

Getting to hang out with the bridal party and Michael and Ember’s families, getting to be creative in a beautiful space, to travel, and to watch a friend marry her childhood love was truly so fun.

I’m sure you’ll be just as obsessed with this day as I am.
